lightbulb jokes; main ideas

Q:How many therapists does it take to change a lightbulb?
A:Only one, but the lightbulb must WANT to change.

Using that as my introduction. People, there is a point here, and what would you think this point would be? I'll put them all down. One at a time, please...

a)Therapists have something to do with lightbulbs.
b)People like making lightbulb jokes.
c)School started.
d)The leaves are changing color.
e)Help! I missed the school bus! (only kidding, I bicycle to school [downhill])

After all, there is a point everywhere.

High school:
a)Lockers that I can barely fit my hand into, let alone my books
b)New binders!!!
c)Water polo team (we only have 12 people, so everyone is on Varsity or Junior Varsity- even the freshpeople)
d)Getting to ingratiate myself with a whole new set of teachers
e)Asking "What is the meaning of life?" when teachers ask "Any questions?"
f)Cereal bars
g)Portable City and trying to find V22 (of 40)
h)Endorsements for Student Council elections (actually, I seem to be a good endorsement, who knows why)
i)Correcting my history teacher's pronunciation of "Iraq" and "al-Qaida" (she learned from President Bush O_o)
j)A silly science teacher (hey, alliteration!)

And finally, my other lightbulb joke:

Q:How many Communists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A:None, because apparently the lightbulb contains the seeds of its own *revolution*.

P.S. KC, it's supposed to be"tu es fatiguee" in French. Remember your agreement on "fatigue": a girl as the subject should add an "e" to the end of most adjectives. Ditto for "elle" and girls' names in the front.

Blergh

Je suis fatigue. <-- French for "I'm tired."

Homework, sports, high school shadows/writing applications, piano, etc. The homework load isn't TOO bad, but some nights, it's really bad. Sports: cross country, we got 2nd place at the first meet and 1st place at the second meet and we have another meet next Tuesday (but it's the suckiest meet EVER TO EXIST); soccer, we tied 1-1 during our first game, we won 4-0 for our second game, and we have another game tomorrow. I haven't been swimming.

High school. This gets its own paragraph thing. I visited my first school on Wednesday, and it was actually kinda fun. It's a nice school, too. Big (and I'm used to a small school) but nice. And the people there are really nice, especially my shadow person and this girl I know who used to go to my school. She even came up to me and said hi and hugged me!!! And then I have another shadow next Thursday at my first choice school. And I have an essay to write for the applications... And forms to fill out and give to the correct people, or whatever it is I'm supposed to do. But yeah.

And I have a dance party tomorrow night! ^^

So, that's it. For now.

POST SOMETHING! PLEASE! I want to know what you guys are doing! Anything funny?

A&P

Ugh. I'm starting Analysis and Persuasion on Monday. During the school year. UGH. I'm gonna be so overwhelmed. AND I have high school shadows to do!!! Gah. But, the good thing is, I get Pizza Party and I get to meet new CTY people!!!

But I won't ever forget about you guys. You're too awesome to be forgotten. Even if you have strange teachers who pronounce "donkey" "dunkey". (What is a dunkey anyways?)

Is anyone else doing a CTY Distance Education thing again?

BTW, I had a soccer game today, and we won 4-0.

freaky teachers

I think the board of education is trying to scare the eighth graders of my school into good behavior by giving us the weirdest teachers ever (too bad, it doesn't work). My civics teacher is the head of some teachers union, and basically she organizes all the strikes and is the first person to go to jail when it happens. When the teachers were actually on strike a few years ago, she sat in the middle of the parking lot in a lawn chair until they arrested her. You see the kind of people that are teaching the youth of America? So it was the first day of class and she goes to the back of the room to hand out text books. All of a sudden she leans down and says, "here's that old tissue!" and gives us a lecture on how to sneeze correctly.
The other freaky teacher gave us a whole lecture on what to do if he caught on fire and spent ten minutes of class looking us over and saying "uh huh....uh huh...." He wasn't as bad, though.

I already have a bunch of homework....I should probably do that instead of wasting my time on the computer but too bad.

*sigh*

ick.

dang KC.

you're lucky that your schoo is that funny. =P

my school, like yours, is UBER-HOT. ((temperature)) and we get the hottest room in the building..

my advanced math/science teacher it old and weird and smells funny. but at least the back of her room doesn't smell like a petting zoo ((my previous homeroom teacher had a pet chinchilla. ew.))

my arch nemesis is there. it's kinda like voldemort and harry. ((i call i get to be voldy!!)) i hate him. i hate him. i hate him.

last year some people ran for student council ((president, or "Big P" as i call it, VP, secretary, and treasurer)). i ran for president against mr. evil ((everyone likes him. i want to rip his hair out and make him eat it)). i ended up losing. by one friggen vote. and i found out that all the closest friends didn't even vote for me! they said they would, but lied and didn't.

so everytime i see him, it's a reminder of that.

makes me wanna stick my finger in a pencil sharpener and "sharpen" it.

wait i kid in my class did that once in 2nd grade. by accident.

second, my homeroom teacher is an idiot. she's the middle school SS/Religion teacher. she can't pronounce anything. she pronounces debtors with the b. she sounds retarded. she also thinks pentecost is 50 days long. she's the religion teacher too.

gosh i hate school.

i'm gonna post a random pic or part of the class. ((you can't see me in it))

School. Joy.

Guess what happened today? Yep, you guessed it, SCHOOL. Joy.

Honestly, one of the only good things about today was that it was a half day. Just about everything else SUCKED.
  1. My best friend is not in my class!!! (Well, actually three of my best friends aren't in my class... I only have two of my very best friends in my class.)
  2. I am the last in the alphabet if we count by class and not by grade, so I'll just PRAY (I also go to a Catholic school, like Steph) that we never count by class.
  3. It's hot. I mean the heat, temperature thing. And today, we had dress uniform, so we had to wear an Oxford shirt (long sleeve!) and a freaking navy blazer. Of course, we all did take off our blazers and roll up our sleeves and completely unbutton the Oxfords (okay no, we didn't COMPLETELY unbutton it, just the first... three, but the first one was already unbuttoned) but it was still hot.
  4. I ate lunch with my mom at Johnny Rocket today and halfway through our meal, guess who came in? FIVE FREAKING GUYS FROM THE BOYS' SCHOOL. And guess what's worse? One of them is like totally obsessed with me and last year during whatever unfortunate activities I had to do with, he stared at me. THE ENTIRE TIME. Luckily, my back was to him and his friends, and his back was to me. But still.
  5. We had a morning assembly today, welcoming everyone back and blah blah blah, and then our Head of School person was like talking to us, but I was like zoning out but pretending to be listening (since I am an eighth grader and I'm expected to "set an example"). Suddenly I was reminded of this yearbook picture from a few years back (this is the funny part) and I was thinking to myself, "Wow, she had hair before!" cuz now her hair is like chopped and before it was like long.
So yeah. There's the story of my first day at school. Oh yeah, and we got homework. I mean yeah, it is easy, but still. HOMEWORK ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! How unfair could life BE?

Gotta go do my homework. I'll see if I can finish before soccer practice... Maybe I'll carpool with my friend...

NOOOO

i have school tomorrow...

ahh.

i don't really care about the work, because i do fine in all of it, but i hate the people in my class.

because i go to a catholic school, we stick with same people all the time. which sucks considering i hate most of the people. each day i pray for one of them to be hit by a bus.

this is gonna suck..

mental support is appreciated.

now i'm going to go waste the rest of this precious day away by playing ratchet & clank on the ps2.

Flying Saucers....real ones....&more

I don't know how many of you have heard about this (or care) but some company developed a 'hover car' that can take off/land on the ground and hover ten feet in the air. They're selling for $90,000 and you don't even need a pilot's license or whatever in order to fly one.

Anyways.

School starts on Thursday (ugghhhh) and I still have to go back to school shopping. Yayyyy. not. At least my first soccer game is on Sunday....thats something to look forward to, even though there's a possibility that we might get our butts kicked since we moved from national 2 to premiere. But we either got second or third place in the tournament yesterday so thats good!

Speaking of soccer, my dad and my sister are going through this freaky faze of watching the professional soccer games on the Spanish channel. They get really into it, and when someone scores they turn the volume up really loud and yell "GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL" along with announcer. Scary.

ok I'm done now.

ohmygod

i must be the stupidest person alivee...

first...i really have to read posts more thoroughly instead of skimming over them...so nick you can ignore that cast question since you already answered ittt.....

and then...kc, you better go to that boys like girls concert and get me an autograph!!!

oh yeahh...this is rona btw. if you havent figured that out already lol

kk

yay for kc!! go lotr and, more importantly, ORLANDO!!! so i just realized that nick broke his arm because thats just how stupid i amm...so nick, that must really really suck--ive never actually broken anything--just fractures. how much longer do you have your cast for? my one friend had a really bad break and she had her cast on for like six months, and then she couldnt put too much pressure on it. so yeah--i feel for you && your arm.

so how is school for everyone? this past week i have just endured my first ever freshman friday and first xc meet of the season, in which we kicked some red-and-white booty =)
